What is a 'Bar Tour?'
A 'Bar Tour' is an organized event in which fun people over the age of 21 gather to visit participating bars while enjoying libations at a discount rate and helping charity (by donating canned food).
History of the Bar Tour
While studying in London in 1989, Dave Lindenauer (President of Lindy Promotions, Inc.®) organized his first Tour, "An American Pub Crawl in London." This event resulted in 150 people with maps and t-shirts going from bar-to-bar bonding, drinking, and having a great time. Three years later, Dave was on a mission to complete a project for his PR class at American University. The infamous "Cap-City Bar Crawl®" was the result. With this concept people could have fun AND help those in need! Participants could receive a discount on bar tour tickets by bringing canned food (which Dave donated to a non-profit organization). And we have been tourin' across the country ever since!
