Rules:

Game Equipment:
All equipment (balls & shoes) will be provided by Strike Bethesda, and is included in your registration fees. If you already own your own ball and/or bowling-legal shoes, you may use them.

Uniforms:
Though uniforms are not provided, teams are encouraged to try and coordinate their outfits or create their own team jersey’s for fun.

Teams:
Team rosters may consist of up to ten players, with no gender breakdown requirements. Rosters must be submitted by the first week of play.

Registration:
All teams must register online by Friday, October 28th. There is a $450 team registration fee which includes a roster of up to ten players for an eight week season.

Game Play:
Each week’s bowling match will last for two hours, either 7-9pm or 9-11pm, depending on your team’s game time that week. Two teams will compete against one another in a head-to-head matchup in adjacent lanes.

In that two-hour time period you can bowl as many games as possible, but only complete game scores will count. If your team should finish more than one game, you have the option of choosing your highest team score. If your team is unable to complete two total games, the score from the completed game will be used for scoring purposes. See Scoring Rules Below.

Each team shall bowl with only four people per night, but substitutions are allowed. See Player Rules Below.

The team with the highest total single game score will be the winner of that night’s match.

Scoring:
Scores will be caclulated by taking each of the 4 players final score for the game and additing them together. If your team has less than 4 players, the missing players score will be figured as a zero.

Your team’s score will be determined as the highest team total of your completed games. If only one game is completed, that will be your score for the match.

You may not mix and match individual scores from two different games. If your team chooses Game 1 as the score to go by, no matter how little you may have contributed to the total in that game, that’s your score for the night.

Players:
Only four players are able to bowl each game. If you have more than four people, you can designate two people to bowl in 1 position on the score sheet and alternate each frame. If you have less than four people, you are still able to bowl, however you will receive zero points for each player slot not filled. You are not able to bowl in two different player slots in the same game.

Points:
Points for standings are distributed as such: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss. The team with the highest total score each week will also receive an additional 1 point bonus.

Playoffs:
Playoffs will occur after the final week of the regular season. It will be a bracket style tournament, with the number of teams and games TBD.

Awards:
At the conclusion of the playoffs, one team will be crowned league champion and win an award. There will also be an award for the highest cumulative team score.

Forfeits:
There are no forfeits unless no one on the team shows up. If only one person shows up, you still play it out!
